About Me!
Emma Kaiven is a resilient and versatile storyteller based out of the DC and NY areas. She recently graduated Magna Cum Laude fromThe Catholic University of America in May and received her Bachelor of Music degree in Musical Theatre. Emma has always cherished being a student, a passion she can likely attribute to her mother, who served as her elementary school librarian during her childhood. Her love of learning led her to study abroad at the Institute of the Arts in Barcelona where she received a Certificate of Professional Development in Acting. During her semester abroad she cultivated her love for travel having gone to 8 different countries within 4 months. Not only did she nurture her love for travel but for Shakespeare and classical acting as well. She has consistently made acting the focal point in all of her work. Some of her most recent credits include: Catherine in CUA’s production of Pippin and Paulina in CUA’s production of The Winter’s Tale, and Ensemble in the Media Theatre’s production of Tarzan. Emma also loves working with children and has worked at the Levine School of Music as a drama teacher for Camp Levine as well as being a princess performer for children’s parties.
Emma’s father has been a profound source of inspiration in her life, and one of her favorite quotes from him is, “Make each day your masterpiece.” She aims to embody this philosophy through her art, striving to create theater that challenges conventions and defies societal norms. This art form resonates on a deeply personal and visceral level, making it a powerful medium for raising awareness about the struggles faced by those whose lives diverge from societal expectations. Engaging with such work fosters empathy and allows audiences to connect with individuals they might never have thought they could relate to.
